Who We Are — Serene Planet

"We are not just dreamers. We are the architects of a better tomorrow."

💡 Our Story

Serene Planet is a youth-led humanitarian organization founded in 2023 by Khondker Srijon and five passionate students from various universities in Bangladesh. What began as the Initiative for Sustainable Education and Equality (ISEE) has grown into a nationwide movement of changemakers united by a common goal: creating a just, sustainable, and compassionate Bangladesh.

Today, we operate across 10 university and district-based teams, including:

📍 Cox’s Bazar & Chittagong
📍 Dhaka & Manikganj
📍 Rajshahi & Chapainawabganj

Together, we work in five key areas:

  • Quality Education

  • Peace and Justice

  • Climate Action

  • No Poverty and Hunger

  • Urbanization

✨ Our Mission

Empower. Educate. Elevate.

Serene Planet exists to inspire, empower, and mobilize young people and communities to become agents of sustainable change in Bangladesh.

We aim to bridge the gaps in education, justice, climate resilience, and urban development by blending grassroots action, youth innovation, and policy advocacy.

Our mission is to:

✅ Equip marginalized communities with knowledge and tools
✅ Elevate youth leadership in civic and policy spaces
✅ Tackle urban and rural poverty through sustainable solutions
✅ Promote peace, inclusivity, and environmental resilience

We believe change begins with people—and we’re building a movement that transforms hope into action, one community at a time.

🌈 Our Vision

“A Bangladesh where every light of hope becomes a beacon of transformation.”

We envision a future where every individual—regardless of background—has equal access to education, opportunity, justice, and a livable environment.

From our grassroots beginnings as ISEE to our rebranding as Serene Planet, our vision has expanded to build:

🌍 An Educated society — where learning is empowering, inclusive, and future-ready
⚖️ A Just society — where fairness, human rights, and dignity are upheld for all
🌱 A Sustainable society — where development coexists with environmental care
🤝 A United society — where youth lead, communities collaborate, and change is shared

What We Do

📚 Quality Education

We believe education is the root of all progress. Through tutoring, digital literacy sessions, career guidance, and school reintegration programs, we ensure that no child is left behind—especially in underserved communities.

Our teams in Chittagong, Manikganj, and Chapainawabganj host:

  • Peer-to-peer learning hubs

  • Mobile libraries and rural education circles

  • Girls’ empowerment workshops

  • Digital learning tools for low-income youth

🕊️ Peace and Justice

We foster a culture of empathy, fairness, and civic responsibility. Through legal literacy campaigns, peacebuilding forums, and youth-led dialogues, we ensure young voices are heard in shaping a more inclusive society.

In Cox’s Bazar and Rajshahi, we’ve:

  • Hosted community peace talks

  • Launched gender and minority rights campaigns

  • Trained youth in civic engagement and local governance

🌿 Climate Action

Our generation faces the climate crisis head-on. From coastal cleanups to eco-education, our youth teams fight for sustainability with bold, local solutions.

Key initiatives:

  • Tree-planting and reforestation (Dhaka, Chittagong)

  • Climate education in schools

  • Resilient housing proposal in the Chittagong Hill Tracts

  • Awareness campaigns on climate justice and sustainable living

🍽️ No Poverty and Hunger

We believe no one should sleep hungry. Through community kitchens, skills development programs, and food-sharing systems, we build dignity-based solutions to hunger and poverty.

Highlighted programs:

  • “Meals of Hope” food-sharing in Chapainawabganj

  • Women’s tailoring and microfinance training in Manikganj

  • Entrepreneurship and freelancing skills for rural youth

  • Seasonal relief distribution and health nutrition drives

🏙️ Urbanization

Bangladesh’s cities are evolving—but they must grow fairly. We work toward equitable, inclusive, and sustainable urban development through advocacy, innovation, and research.

Key projects:

  • Urban green corners and rooftop gardens in Rajshahi

  • Slum school support and hygiene drives in Dhaka

  • Waste management awareness and recycling campaigns

  • Youth-led surveys and participatory urban planning
