Before anything else, we are volunteers.
That’s not just a line , it’s the truth. Serene Planet wasn’t built by donors, staff, or consultants. It was built by young people showing up without pay, using their skills and time to make things a little better in their corners of the world.
When we say volunteer with us, we don’t mean “come help us.” We mean: join us.
We have local volunteer teams in places like Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Dhaka. Some volunteers plan awareness sessions. Some run community events. Some teach digital literacy or organize school sessions on gender and safety. Others write, design, or manage communications.
We don’t micromanage. We also don’t waste your time. You choose the kind of work that fits you, and we’ll support you with resources, planning help, and — when you’re ready — leadership opportunities.

Volunteering with us means you’ll be part of something imperfect, but honest. We don’t always have everything figured out but we care deeply about trying, learning, and improving together.
Some of our current core team members started out as volunteers for a single event. A few years later, they’re now leading multi-district teams and mentoring others.
You don’t need to be “qualified.” You just need to be willing to commit, ask questions, and work with empathy.
